Before joining a Crikle meeting, you are able to choose which microphone and camera you want to enable.
Unfortunately, there are instances where your browser might deny access to your microphone and or camera. Here are a few tips that can help solve this.
Disable other tools:
Close any other Crikle tabs that you might have open
Close all other tabs or softwares that use a microphone or camera (ie other video tools, recording tools, audio tools, etc.)
Restart your browser (we recommend you use Chrome)
To double check what your browser has allowed or denied access to, follow these steps:
If using Chrome, navigate to the website you want to manage location settings. Click the lock icon next to the website link in the address bar. Then click on the site permissions option and select "allow" next to both camera and microphone.
If using Safari, open Safari Preferences next to the Apple logo on the top left of your screen. Click on 'websites', and then go to the camera and microphone tabs to change access to "Allow". All done - make sure to restart Safari and your permissions should be fixed now.
If using Firefox, go to Firefox next to the Apple logo on the top left of your screen, then click preferences. Next, click on "privacy and security" from the left hand panel, before scrolling down to the preferences section. From here click settings next to camera and microphone to ensure access has been allowed.
